24 ad break clock

I was watching the first series of 24 and wondered why on the ad-break digital clock updates they use a 12 hour time format instead of a 24 hour one... Did anyone else notice this or should find more important things to worry about? Great twist at the end and a crackin tv show, I love it... Apart from the clock thing.

The preferred time format in the US is the 12 hour clock with the AM/PM identifier as opposed to the international standard 24 hour clock.
Yeah, the Yanks don't understand the 24 hour clock - they refer to it as "miltary time".

kempie, there's no am/pm on there. LeMarchand, military time would do the job as 2pm would be pronounced fourteen hundred. Let's all just face it, they screwed up!
I too have noticed this and it p's me off also. Like you say though, great show.
