PS3 hd no audio

I recently bought a hd cable for my PS3 i have connected it and the picture works fine but i'm not receiving audio, i have tried every option in 'audio settings' on the PS3 but no luck. I'm using a phillips flat tv hd ready. Please advise?

You still need to use the old cable (provided with your ps3) that you used previously from the back of your ps3 to get the audio. At least, that's what I do. I think the HD cable will only transfer pictures.
