no.. follow the instructions
i use the 2 minute pack type and just plaincorn in a plastic bowl with a lid lightly covering it

how can it? It's specifically packaged to go in your microwave, as long as you follow the instructions, nowt bad'll happen.

lol - it stays in a bag, it doesn't fire all round your microwave!!

used it for years .. no problems if you follow the instructions ..
