how can I turn my stuck Cannon cambridge grill knob

Within hours of previously using it, the grill/top oven knob on my Cannon Cambridge cooker stuck fast. WD40 and a pair of pliers enabled me to turn it anticlockwise to operate the top oven but it will not budge clockwise for the grill. Can anyone offer advice please?

The gas tap needs to stripped and re-greased, or a new tap fitted - not a DIY task. It'll require the services of a Gassafe certified fitter, alas. I wouldn't use the grill till it's fixed. Your problem might be that you turn the gas on, then can't turn it off, and have to turn off the house gas main.

You should try and get a replacement gas valve first (for that control)
It will be damaged inside I expect .. to suddenly seize like that.

You can maybe turn off at the cooker feed pipe valve (if it has one) .. or unplug the hose if you have to.
