Our indoor small halogen heater ( cost £10) is rattling & has stopped working. What's inside? Can I take it apart & replace something?

There isn't much inside these things (cables, a switch and the heater element) so you could have a look (always assuming you can get it apart if it uses special fixings to try and prevent you), but for £10, is it really worth it?
For £10, I would buy a new one and know that it is safe
