Hi I had a new patio laid this year with block paving. I have given it a good clean with a bucket of bleach and a broom [no jet wash] and seem to remember being told about re-sanding it :0/
What sort of sand should I use please?

The main thing is that its Kiln Dried and do not let it get wet.
B&Q stuff is perfectly adequate for a home job!

Please excuse my ignorance, but I assume you mean whilst in the bag? It's going to get wet eventually isn't it, when it rains.

Apply the kiln sand when the weather is dry as its easier to brush into the gaps between the blocks.
If you haven't already, it's important to seal the paving blocks (as they're called here in the U.S.) with any good sealer. I see that "Thompson's" brand is available in the U.K., which is what I use twice a year (spring and fall) here int he the U.S. Be usre to use the multi-purpose sealer since the other stuff they make is for wood only...
We tend not to use sealers on paving here .. because of our lovely weather .. It soon wrecks what we did only a few months earlier.
I have to maintain block paving?..............the builder never mentioned that!
