My guess is that even if it did, it may look odd.
Is the cost of a new pedestal prohibitive ? You could give it away to someone with your present basin.
Dennis, I'm afraid very few things are universal in plumbing!
Is it a wall-hung, or metal brackets?

Probably best to do away with the pedestal. They're a little out of favour these days.
Much easier to clean around the floor etc.
Maybe it'll leave a hole in the floor covering if you take it away?
Nope ..
Different manufacturers have different shapes. It will hold it, but not too well!
Apart from the actual fitting you may have a problem in colour matching. Even in white there are quite visible differences.
hello, i have reviewed your question and i think that a new wash basin with an old pedestal will look odd so instead you should opt for a new one.
