Has anyone ever sold anything at this auction house? I have a few old bits in the attic and am wondering whether to try to sell them there.

I imagine it would depend on the quality of the items you have and the premium charged by the auctioneers whether this will be worthwhile.
I would check out ebay first. You would see the approximate value of your items (look in completed items) Then have a word with the auction house and ask then for a rough valuation at auction. That will tell you wether you are better selling on ebay or at the auction house
Please remember that the Auctioneers comission can be up to 20%~PLUS VAT!
I agree with maclarencat, sell them on ebay.

Yes I will probably do that, although some items are unsuitable for posting, i will have to ask buyer to collect. Thanks all ! By the way I have emailed Parkins (no reply) and telephoned them (no answer) so they don't seem to be much of a company anyway.
smurf,
I looked at their premises in Malden Road on the Google Street Map and it looks pretty rundown.
Their webiste addy on the front of the building,www.parkinsauction.co.uk is a domain name for sale,so maybe they are not in business any more(but I could be wrong!)
PS:~
I can't find them in the BT(Online) PhoneBook under Parkins in either Cheam or Sutton.

There used to be a really good auction house in Kingston on Thames, I bought loads there when I moved house, but its not there any more. I don't know of any other local auctin houses, (near Kingston, even out as far as Cobham) I used to enjoy sitting there it was a good day out.
