there are 2 indoor centres both good (or so I hear),Victoria Centre has House of Fraser and John Lewis plus other chains like Boots etc and Broad Marsh has Boots and British Home Stores, that,s all I can remember sorry
I like Nottingham for shopping. The two main shopping centres, mentioned by Follyfancier, are linked by streets with a range of interesting shops (with some good pubs available for lunch, as well).

Have you been in Derby since the new Westfield centre opened ?- I prefer it now to Nottingham, as everything is close together

Yes, was there about a month ago, did Burton the onto Derby and enjoyed it, however never been to Nottingham so will try it.
Parking isn't very good there - you could use the Park & Ride and travel into Nottingham city centre on the tram from The Forest or Phoenix Park
Question Author
That sounds good roslyn, it's many a year since I went on a tram.
