I have some blinds in the kitchen that have got both dusty and greasy with cooking, I tried soaking one in the bath, but it's still a bit grubby. Any ideas?

I've got a white venetian blind in my kitchen too, unfortunately they are notorious for being difficult and time consuming to clean. There is a two way brush cleaner that is designed to clean both sides at the same time, however I have never found this to be tough enough on grease. My tried and tested method is to use Flash Orange liquid, a non stick scourer and a J cloth for rinsing and wiping. The last time I cleaned mine, it stayed clean for ages afterwards using this method although it did take the best part of a day!

We use Mr Muscle Orange wipes - wrap them round a wooden spoon and wipe this between the slats of the blind.

Mr Muscle Orange wipes are my Desert Island luxury -  They even clean my cooker.

I take them down and use the hose and some soap in the driveway. although the last time i had to do this, i just took them down and put them right in the trash, they are cheap and if they get too dirty, its not really worth the effort to bother cleaning them. just replace them.

Thanks people. I'll have another go tomorrow. I don't think I could just chuck em - they are large, and black, but unusual, with tiny little holes in that let the light through.
Try a solution of soda crystals in warm water. It's brilliant for removing grease, but shouldn't be used on aluminium or varnished or laquered surfaces.
