Have idiotically added around 1-2 tablespoons of vanish fabric powder into the salt compartment of my dishwasher (don't ask). The salt compartment was otherwise empty.
I have done several rinses, with the salt compartment lid off, but I still have lots of soap suds. Has anyone any suggestions please?
The dishwasher is a 5 year old hotpoint ultima.

If you fill it with ordinary table salt and go through another wash it should get rid of the suds

Many thanks for your advice. What I ended up doing yesterday evening was to put it through countless washes and I added descaling stuff for good measure. There were no suds on the last rinse so hopefully it is sorted. At least I have a very clean dishwasher!
I've done similar catstail, you're not alone - I have a tabletop dishwasher which takes tablets, I put a detergent tablet in by mistake. I never had such frothy dishes!
My baby sitter put washing up liquid in mine. That was fun...
