What is the best way to find the best company for the job?

Should I just rely on 'word of mouth'?

Just agree with Butch.........
The County Council where I live has a 'Buy With Confidence' Scheme and a list of Approved Traders. It might be worth checking if your local authority has something similar. Also think twice about having those white pvc type door frames. They could have a lot of grooves and ridges and be difficult to keep clean.

I don't think we have much choice about that coldicote as the rest of the house has that type.

I could get a builder for £100 a day...

Or know them already...
Hi ummmm,

This may have already been suggested but i would go through word of mouth and then
"Check a trade" on the net, to see the type of responses customers have left about their workmanship etc.

Good luck, sweetheart xx
My builder charges £100 a day labour only and is excellent.....never anything shoddy, in fact he's fussier than I am about doing things exactly right.

You are naughty Butch.......my builder gives me the receipts for things he's bought.
