Hi a reletive of mine has tomatos and they had 2 different types!
1. One plant she bought from B&Q and the tomatos has turned out fine
and number 2
2. She just planted tomato seeds in soil and the tomatos turned out all crinkly and curly
ARE THESE EDIBILE? THANKS FOR YOU HELP

You mean the actual tomatoes are curly? They might be a creased variety - or they might just not have had enough water. If she planted the seeds of an edible tomato, they should be fine to eat though.

It's possible they are Purple Calabash variety. Or, more probably, she planted seeds from an F1 variety which won't grow true to type from seed.

It will depend if the tomato she's grown looks the same as the one she took the seed from.
