now i do like a good sausage!
i love going into my butchers, bending over his counter and admiring his big sausages
most weeks he has new varieties of sausage that he shows me
i was just wondering what varieties my fellow answerbankians can recommend to me as my goal is to be filled up by big thick sausages from all parts of the UK

Can't beat a bit of pork. I am a sausage fan - but it has to be quality meat - none of that flabby false-looking pink stuff. Unless it's an Irish Richmond.

Chipolatas have their appeal - but you can't beat a cumberland.
Pork Apricot and Stilton
Pork and Leek
Beef and Ale
Cumberland
Pork and Ginger (especially from Aldi)

You get what you pay for in a sausage - I don't mind paying a few pence more to get a good 'un.
Richmond are poor quality but the only ones I will attempt to eat. I don't like sausages so the fakeness of Richmond appeals to me :-)
No -------- I am still not going to say it
Merciasounds posted a thread a few days back with some delish alternative sausages which she makes herself, I was drooling (not a pretty sight).
LOL

You know you will eventually.... should I carry on?!!
on a hat trick salla?
Go on ttfn, not like you to hold back!
i love a good fat pork sausage but my fave has to be a cumberland ring
I would like to point out, with due respect to my dear mum, I was brought up proper, boxy
Could anyone recommend a good sausage that rowanwitch would like as I aim to please ! :-))
I'm not the only one egging you on ttfn !
Indeed so boxy - I may just remove the bulls eye from by back in a minute
not just yet i'm lobbing chipolatas at you
we make beef with Guinness and mushrooms,
Lamb with mint, lamb with soft apricots and rosemary, chicken with balti spices, pork with ginger, spring onion and five spice amongst the usual suspects of course!!
Some of the south african ones are really good as are some polish types

We get lashfords bangers locally and they are excellent..

Redman stop being suggestive!
Saveloy.
Good grief - I nearly said it then!
with or without skins ttfn
