can i buy plug in kitchen extractor fan, only can find hard wired ones.

They are fully isolated tho .. so buy whichever type you need, and use a lamp flex to connect to 3A fused plug. You can use a pull cord one if it suits you.

Because they are not a portable electrical device (they are permanently fixed) they are supoosed to be permanently wired to the mains.
We had an MFI kitchen fitted about 10 years ago and they fitted an extractor fan-cum-light unit over the existing cooker and that has a flexible lead which plugs in to the nearby cooker switch. Have a word with a Kitchen supplier.??
You certainly can! I have a 90cm Rangemaster chimney hood that just plugs in to a nearby designated socket. It's easy to hang too as it hooks onto 2 fixings.
