The Karcher 2.54 I have is leaking from the bottom. Can anyone give me any ideas, if they've had the same problem.

My Karcher leaked and on stripping it down I found that the plastic pump casing was split and leaking in several places. Probably my own fault through not emptying the washer properly before storing in the garage for the winter. The water left in the pump had frozen and split it. I dumped the Karcher and bought a Nilfisk Power washer which has a metal pump casing. I now remember to empty it properly after using it.
I agree with Wak's answer. It happened to me as well, but playing safe, in the winter I now store my new pressure washer in the house where I know the temperature wont drop below freezing.

Pressure washers are expensive items to replace, so for me now, it's better to be safe than sorry.

My problem is that its been working since the winter. I thought it was a seal that had gone. but where to get advice in the Edinburgh, is a problem too.
I can't help about getting help in Edinburgh but my Karcher still worked even though the pump was cracked and leaking. I just didn't fancy the water finding it's way on to the electric motor while I was using it.
Incidentally, if you wish to take the case off and check it then you may need a 6 sided Allen Key to remove the securing screws.
Can you find a place that repairs lawn mowers? They may help you.
