What's eating my Pieris?

There are u-shaped holes along the edges of the new leaves but I can't find anything on the plant. Help appreciated.

leaf cutter bees , they like roses too,
They are harmless, and only building a nest by taking the bits of leaf to their nest, rolling it up into a cylindrical shape into which she lays an egg. Please don`t kill bees. Even wasps have their uses in the way of things, like eating greenfly etc.

Thanks, Rowan & Carlton. Wouldn't dream of killing bees! Love wasps as they keep the greenfly down, as you say. Just wanted to know what it was.
