I have what I believe is lesser celandine in lawn and should use something containing 24-D. Can anybody tell me what I should try

Verdone Extra is a selective broadleaf herbicide (Broad leaf weed killer, selective in lawns)
My recommendation is to look for that, and try it. De-activates on contact with soil, so is safe.

Yes I agree Albags,I use on Dandelions and its brilliant.

why do you want to get rid of the celandines? they provide a splash of early colour then die down all on their own....
