hang them outside to air - a bit difficult at this time of year while it's so damp, but it's the best thing to do. and not just for a couple of hours, for as long as it takes to get rid of the smell.
Try spraying with some febreeze after they have aired
Even though the weather is cold, if you get a dry crisp day, then hang them outside for a few hours, it works wonders, in fact it's better than when it's warm weather, but avoid a damp day, then spray with fabreze or use what I use, in a spray bottle dilute some Comfort or Lenor with water, and use that, i find that it works just as well, and smells better too................hope this helps..........
I agree - hang them on the washing line when it stops raining - and beat them with something - to get any dust out.

Depending on the material, you may be able to wash them. I know some fabrics say dry clean, but if they are anything other than velvet or silk, you may be lucky to launder them yourself.
