Not sure if this is the right section but here we go...As a child the sound of christmas to me was always the tinkling noise that came from a candle powered carousel that my Nan had.It wasmade of brass I think, and had 4 angels above 4 candle holders. When the candles were lit, the heat from them would make the angels go round and round, creating a tinkling sound. For years my mother and I have been searching for one of these, or for something similar. My Nan bought it in the early 1950's. The only other place I've seen one, was in a christmas episode of The Darling Buds of May, Ma Larkin had one on her kitchen table! So my question is, does anyone know of anywhere where I could get one? I have searched the internet from top to bottom, been to every shop selling christmas decorations I can think of etc etc.I know it's a long shot, but any ideas would be much appreciated thank you.

Yes. I know exactly what you mean as I've been looking for them myself.

Haven't seen them in any high street shops but I think I just found them on the net.

 Try www.angel-chimes.com. Hope it's what you're after.

Stepaniel you are a STAR!!!
Unfortunately that link was dead, well it wouldnt work for me anyway, but it told me the name "Swedish Angel Chimes" so by putting this into Google I've found a site in London that still sells them: http://www.capitalgardens.co.uk/ So now I've ordered one for myself and one for my Mother and they should be here within 14 days :oD Thank you so much for your quick response - you've made my Christmas! Have a good one, and a Happy New Year Stepaniel.
