How easy would it be and where to look for a blockage outflow on my dishwasher ie slow empty

I'd give the filters a good looking at, before you start disturbing the pipes.

Sorry but what do you mean by a good looking at.
When I check my dishwasher, I remove the trays, remove the central filter by turning the handle, lift it out, clear away the residual water in the indent and any matter that has accrued. When that job is complete I would then wash and scrub, if needs be, the main filter which I had removed previously making sure that any solid matter was removed. Having rendered it to a gleaming state I would put everything back.If the machine was still misbehaving I would then think of looking at the secondary filter/non-return valve but this will probably be unnecessary.
