... when it's full of squawking teenagers & brats, is usually a battleground, with everyone fighting, screaming, shouting and wrestling with each other. And 2 of the kids are on the CPR..... naming no names.

What is your house called, or what would you call your house if you wanted to name it?

A good name for our house would be "Broadmoor"
Can't bl00dy stand houses with names and no numbers.

Did a GP locum and driving down a road at 2.am looking for Chez Nous or some other stupid name sent me "salla"bananas.
When I found them, they got a right b0llocking.

Numbers only please.
As an ex surgeon, sqad's house should be called

"Dunkillin"
Bernard
Olive.......Dunsh@ggin would be more appropriate.

Names are ok - but they need numbers as well.

I like Vera Duckworth's idea of naming her tiny terraced fake-stone-clad house 'The Old Vicarage' - priceless!

Mine would be called The Shambles or something. Or maybe The Love Shack.....
My house hasn't got a number - never has had one. Stuck in the middle of nowhere with only a scattering of houses and none with numbers. And our house name plate fell off moons ago and we never replaced it. But our doctor knows us and anyone else who we welcome knows where we live too. As for delivery drivers well I guide them here on the phone and meet them waving at the gate............

Great being antisocial!!
I would add that in its 250 year history our house has never had a number. Part of it was the local post office back in the distant past.
Loftylottie - we should all chip in with ideas for your house.

I suggest "Turnip Towers"
Mine would be "Welldun"................
All houses should have numbers.

Just my professional view......

Then it would be..... The Old Post Office.
(groan.....)

craft......LOL ...or the "Bricklayers Arms".....LOL
There was a guy on local TV who called his house "stocking tops". I wonder what he was into:-)
or......ShagPile

Stalag 17 ?
For someone who lives in Spain...Los Letchos....
It does have a name it just isn't shown on the gate!! It's a typical name for a house among the fields. No way could it have a number - our address doesn't even have a road name!!
Question Author
Just like the farm I used to live on Lottie, about 8 years ago. No name, no number, no road name....

Didn't stop the bills arriving though!

Very true Salla x
