SIlver Birch tree in raised bed ?

Hi, I have just planted a 12ft Silver Birch tree in my raised bed ... is this OK ?
It is about 2ft from the fence and the edge of the bed sleeper. I know in time it will grow and fill out, but I was hoping to prune it later when that happens.
My main concern is the raised bed planting. Any help or advice would be gratefully received. Thanks.
