I am thinking about makeing biodesiel to run my car (UK) and I'm trying to find out if anyone else has had sucess and is doing it leagally......there seems to be a big problem over tax.

I think it is legal, but there was a thing about it on Top Gear or something like that and they worked out that unless you run a chip shop you would find it difficult to get the fuel and would potentially only save you a few pence on a litre. Do you have chip shop or potential source of fule Hamish.

Its not illegal, just appears to be impossibly difficult. It seems that no one else is actually doing it. It hadn't got as far as the financual aspects, perhaps I'll start looking for a chippy first!
