Can anyone help me find a rotary clothes line that does not have to be pushed up or pulled up by a rope please. I am looking for one that winds up to open it.
I have had an operation and have very little use in my right arm now.
Many thanks in advance.

Thank you ZebUK. I will give that a try.
I really don't know why they make them so difficult to open, there must be others like me who have problems putting them up and I would think the old folk would find it impossible. I will give B&Q and Homebase a ring.

It's a bit pricey but guaranteed for ten years.
No sorry . Having watched the video altho it has a handle it is only to adjust the height of the lines not to fold it.

Thanks for that site Naomi. I may look into this one as it says it is easily operated by the elderly.
I know it is pricey but if I can get my washing dried outside instead of in the tumble dryer it will save me money in the long run.
Thanks again
Hello Bookworm9, sorry for the late reply but my Lakeland catalogue only arrived this morning. They have a Brabantia push button action rotary dryer. Don't know if this might be useful to you. I do hope you see this reply as obviously it is a couple of pages down now.
Regards, Lyn.

Hello Lynb.
Many thanks for your answer. I have been on the Lakeland site and had a look. I am afraid it is the same as the one I have now but many thanks for thinking of me.

I really do need a power assisted one as I have no use in my arm....I am totally useless really but don't want to give into things.
Thanks again.
Hi Bookworm9, I don't know whether this will help, click on the link & contact them for more info,Ron.

Hi whiskeryron (what a lovely name)

Thanks for your reply Ron.
I have had a good look at it and it seems that it has a foot pedel that you use to get it to lift from the ground but you still have to push it up and lock it in place, rather like a brolly has to clip into place. That is the bit I have a problem with. Following my op I just can't push up to lock it., I just don't have the strength.
Heck wouldn't you think that someone out there among the rotary line manufacturers would have come up with something that is power assisted for the disabled and the elderly? Maybe they will read this and do something about it - well, one can only hope eh:-)
Hello again Bookworm9, Click on this site I found on Google, Ron.
