Does anyone recommend any weed killer or lawn feeder for our newly laid grass. We have cut it twice already and need to rake the dead grass from it - if we do this then it wont look as nice as we would like for obvious reasons.

Any good gardeners out there??

Ideally you need a Mower with a Grass collection box as the cut grass left behind will eventually clog the roots of your New Lawn. Good drainage is essential otherwise Moss will start to grow along with the weeds. Invest in a new Lawn Mower to go with your newly laid Lawn.
I wouldn`t feed it for the first season if I was you as the roots will find enough goodness in the soil below if the ground was prepared properly in the first place. Raking the grass carefully without pulling it up can only do good. And using a mower with a grass-box and roller on it will help establish the grass and give it nice lines up and down. Give it a feed nest spring with a proper spring feed. HTH`s
Oh, I nearly forgot. Keep it well watered thoughout the summer.

We have a mower that collects the grass but obviously some is being left behind ... we have raked it today so will leave it for the moment before feeding!
