Grundfos Watermate Macerator Toilet

I have recently turned off my macerator unit as it was making an unholy and irregular noise. Foolishly, I then flushed it without remembering to turn the power back on.

I turned it back on and it seemed to right itself. However, since then it hasn't made any noise and it drains incredibly slowly. I've banned the housemates from using until I reach a conclusion. I've changed the fuse in the plug in the hope that it could be that, but I'm assuming it's blocked and that I'll have to get in there and free whatever it is.

Does anybody have any experience of opening these units? It's a rented house so I have no manuals to look at.

Thanks in advance for any advice.
