Remove nail varnish on eiderdown?

How do i remove last nights half bottle of nail varnish spilt on small (but very warm&light) polyester eiderdown?! I'm 'fraid I was a bit worse for wear whilst self applying manicure!!!
I left it overnight & its absorbed into plastic crisp patch - don't know where to start as don't think hot wash do much good? Patch is a bit big to dip in acetone (I'd need a few bottles)!! Helppp!?

Who on earth has an eiderdown these days.Chuck it out,and get yourself a duvet (13 tog)

Yes thank u, i have 13 tog duvet, but sometimes i feel a little chilly & it's so light, I can throw it off when i start to overheat. Plus its sentimental value, so there. Plus can't scrape it off as its absorbed into the polyester/cotton filling!! Any other bright sparks??!!

Has it gone thro' to filling? if not my best advice would be to cut the spoilt cover and patch with a soft hankie. Other than that try an inconspicuous area with varnish remover but if its set into the fibres it may be too late :o( Oh just re-read your post and it says it's a big patch so maybe patch with old pillow case cut to size.
