Sun-lounger with independent foot rest?

Many years ago I had a thinly padded (ie, not the great thick cushioned things that are around now!) sun lounger. It had a great mechanism whereby, under the seat, there was a pull-out foot rest. The advantage of this was that you could have the back-rest up (for reading etc) or reclining - without affecting the foot-rest. All the modern sun-loungers seem to make you lay back when all you want to do is put your feet up. Plus they are bulky to store! Is there anyone out there who has found anything like I am describing? I have seen the ones where you slide a foot stool thingy under the sunbed but that's not great for storage, etc. I can't believe these are difficult to come by - surely I am not the only person who wants to read a book, or eat lunch, in the garden with my feet up?!!!
