Does anyone know the law on these? I live in a row of cottages & 5 doors up there chimney is bellowing out lots of smoke which chokes you outside your own door! Also, if i leave my upstairs windows open slightly my house stinks of smoke! It even comes through the 'Catflap'!!

Check with your local council if it is a smokeless zone.

I was going to say the same, if it's in an area with a Smoke Control Order the council may be able to do something.
