any ideas how I can separate 2 china mugs, one stuck inside the other, without breaking them! I have tried oil, hot water, cold water,wd40, nothing has worked!!

Place ice in the inner mug and dip the outer mug in warm water. They should come apart very easily.

Put them both in the fridge overnight and then stand in hot (not boiling) water next morning and gentl;y pull apart.

Have they separated yet? Have you tried gently tapping the bottom one against the side of the sink?

gentle tapping is the way forward, it happens to pint glasses all the time.
