Round Up Stump and Root Killer

Has anyone used the above (not the ordinary Round Up weedkiller) and had success with it? We have some bushes about 5' high, so would cut them down to leave a stump about 2"-3" diameter. Was it obvious when the root had died? Any experiences appreciated.
