I couldnt find a category for this but i guess Home and Gardening is the most appropriate as an "outside" problem :)

Does anyone know how to clean algae, moss, lichen etc from Portland stone?

The reason i ask is that i went to put some flowers at my grandparents grave today and after 3 years the weather is starting to take effect on the stone work..

Does anyone know how to gently clean it without harming the Headstone?
