Hi, I hope someone can help me. I recently did a load of dark washing but didnt realise there was a brand new red t-shirt in there of my sons!. All my darks now have a pink tinge to them. I washed them straight away after the wash but some of my sons trousers are still pink(not a good look for a 5 year old) .Does anybody have any ideas at all?. Please help!!!

you can buy a product made by Dylon that removes the run colours. Can't remember the exact name of it but its something like Dygon & I have always picked it up on the washing powder aisle in the supermarket. I can speak from experience that it does work!! I now always use Colour Catcher Sheets when doing a mixed wash. These look like small paper sheets that you add to the wash & they 'catch' colours from clothes. One word of warning though, always put one of these sheets in one of those net bags that you might have that you put soap tablets in as there have been stories about them getting in the works of the washing machine & causing all sorts of bother. They definitely do work & worth every penny they cost. Again, they are on the washing powder aisle & in a red box. Cheapest place I have found selling them is Tesco. Hope all this info helps. good luck!

Hi thanks very much for your reply. I will grab them both tomorrow when i go shopping. Thanks again I will let you know how i get on.
I meant to add that the colour remover stuff can be put in the washing machine. Do reply again to let me know if this works for you but the colour catcher sheets about 1.97 for a pack of them work brilliantly as I said before. It never fails to amaze me that these little things can 'grab' the colour. even if I'm quite sure things won't run, I still, when doing a mixed wash put one in. good luck & do reply. all the best.
you could try ACDO colour run remover, its in a red box, and it works, its advisable to get two boxes, as the colour may not be fully removed with one box
