Do you think they have orgasms ?

Heveans above! LMAO!

You just know I'm going to google now!
The science people are very clever, try the science section. You'll have to re-word it a bit or AB might not allow you to repeat.
Continuing with the amazing story of ant trivia - did you know that only fertilised>/i> eggs laid by the Queen become female ants.... the rest (the unfertilised ones) become male ants ...
I can't find anything, but I have a book here "How animals have sex" (don't ask!). I can give you some approximate penis lengths, the number of thrusts made by various male primates per sexual encounter, some insect copulation times as well as a quite a detailed description of how around 50 animals/insects/mammals.

So, if you ever need to know, just ask :D

dakota- how big is a male ant then? hehe
It sprung to mind instantly that I didn't think animals that liad eggs did have periods but I have no idea why I think that.

Ants have a very small window of mating which is usually on a very warm and humid day. The queen and king ants leave the nest and for one day they have wings. Obviously this is to enable them to get as far away from the next as possible. (I think the wings can last a max of three days but don't quote me on it).

Once the king and queen have mated the queen will spend the rest of her life laying eggs, (so logically if she's doing that constantly then I guess that's a no-no to the period thing too). The king also lives in the nest with the queen but he is pretty much redundant I believe.
Aww, the author doesn't divulge the ant :o(

Whale - 10ft
Elephant - 5ft
Giraffe - 3ft
Argentine lake duck - 16 inches
Pig - 15 inches
Banana slug - 9 inches
Gorilla - 2 inches

I'm glad I'm not a girl gorilla.
or a girl whale come to that... ouch! ;o))
