do female ants have periods?

I can give you some approximate penis lengths, the number of thrusts made by various male primates per sexual encounter, some insect copulation times as well as a quite a detailed description of how around 50 animals/insects/mammals.

It sprung to mind instantly that I didn't think animals that liad eggs did have periods but I have no idea why I think that.
Ants have a very small window of mating which is usually on a very warm and humid day. The queen and king ants leave the nest and for one day they have wings. Obviously this is to enable them to get as far away from the next as possible. (I think the wings can last a max of three days but don't quote me on it).
Once the king and queen have mated the queen will spend the rest of her life laying eggs, (so logically if she's doing that constantly then I guess that's a no-no to the period thing too). The king also lives in the nest with the queen but he is pretty much redundant I believe.
