It won't survive outside if it's an indoor yucca. The yuccas talked about (at great length) on this site tend to be outside varieties which are very large and spiny. Check in a gardening book to see what variety you have. I was feeling unloved and unwanted as we haven't had a yucca question for almost a week. Feeling better now!

apricot Sorry you have been lonely but I am here with another question. How do I know if I am looking at an indoor or outdoor variety. Your Saturday evening is now full again!!
Go to a garden centre and have a look at the outdoor variety, they are huge with thick leathery and very sharp leaves. The indoor variey tend to come on a piece of trunk and have one or two sprouting bits. I don't think they would survive a NW winter outside. You could put the pot out in the summer though, just watch for cold winds.

Apricot Thanks for your help - I have now found out I have an outdoor variety. Thanks for your help. You are not alone being lonely, but we have out Yucca's Frosty
Hi Frosty, plant and stand back. They grow like weeds and will produce babies like there's no tomorrow. I slice the babies off and sell them for charity as they're hugely expensive in the garden centres. Yours should be fine as mine are extremely healthy in Cumbria on an exposed site about 600' up. Good luck
