Cost of running 12KW Trianco Electric Central Heating

I am considering changing to Electric Hot Water Central Heating, Has anyone any experience of this? Costs using economy 10?

That's 12,000 watts of power, check your existing electric bill to see how much your electric is per kwh and work it out from there...

By the way that's 6 average sized kettles running at once....
The running costs will depend on the duty cycle, i.e. how often your thermostat calls for heat and the length of time for which your system is running. As to running costs you need to check the Economy 10 tariffs not your standard electricity bill as rates will be lower than normal.

Economy 10 is a more flexible package than Economy 7 in that you are able to use power other than during the hours of darkness, but I would consult their website http://www.ukpower.co.uk/running-costs-elec.as p to see the actual costs involved.

Overall, given that our weather is so unpredictable these days, I personally would not want to be restricted as to when I could obtain power at the cheap rate.
