glue!!!!

Hi answerbankers. We have recently took a doorbell off our UPVC door and the glue that is left behind is disgusting. Anyone out there that knows how to get it off. I have tried acetone but to no avail. Thanks in advance

Hi rosiew try methylated spirits or a bit stronger paint thinners HTH Tez

try a mild abrasive,such as T-cut,in all probability the glue has eaten into the surface

Try Loctite Glue Remover it cost �3.23 from DIY stores.

I had a similar problem & I used steam to remove the glue. I have a wallpaper steamer so just heated up the minimum amount of water & hey presto it worked in seconds. maybe if you don't have one you could borrow one? good luck!
