Do people who have super duper state of the art kitchens know how to cook or even use all their equipment? I seem to remember my grandmother turning out the most delicious food from a small back kitchen with an old gas oven, a table used as a working surface and an old sink with wooden drainer with a water heater above. I would love to hear from someone who has one of these amazing kitchens and does use it to their full potential. I have my doubts!

They are for oure conveniance - unlike 'Back in the day' and they look nice.
I have an absolutely state of the art, super dooper, whizzy kitchen and it a pleasure to work in. Regular contributors to this site will know that I am serious and prolific cook and have nothing in it for show, everything works perfectly ans is useful. I add that this will be the last kitchen I ever have so it has been built to last.

That's really great,Apricot. People like should should have great kitchens. It's not that want to go back to what my grandmother had, but I do feel that some people demand these super kitchens because we are inundated with adverts and they feel they must have one and possess every single gadget, even though they hardly ever cook and have no desire to!
