Dishwasher filling?

Does anyone know if a dishwasher that is hot and cold fill can be connected to the cold water supply only and, if it can, what happens with the other pipe?
Please help as I need a new one and only have a cold water feed but the dishwasher I want is a hot and cold fill

same principal as a washing machine ... no reason why not but it will take longer to complete the cycle as it wil be heating water from cold, not from hot ... this may affect the timer function as certain parts of the cycle are time dependant.

The other pipe (hot) can be left off should you go down that route.
