Dyanthus?

Does anyone know what to do with these in the Winter? Do you cut them back or leave them--we grew them from seed last year.

Dianthus are perennial and require little care to winter over. In the fall, after the last flowering, just trim the plant of dead leaves and assure the base is clean. You could mulch just alittle, but it doesn't really accomplish anything except make you feel useful. When it comes back in the spring, use an appropriate fertilizer, slow release and balanced (meaning all the three numbers should be about the same percentages). Best of luck!
