Hello, what year were plastic drainage introduced into the building trade.
The reason being, there is a plastic manhole on a property that serves three other properties, this plastic manhole blockes up quite often, the owner of the property denies that he installed this item even though he has to unblock the manhole.
It has been incorrectly installed so to find out when these items were first made will track down the culprit.
the owner insists that it's 1930s
thank you for any answers.

The first plastic sectional manholes I can remember were brought out by Hepworths in late 80's. They usually have about 5 access points to the outlet in the bottom of the manhole (you just use the ones you need). There are many other makes about now, but I can't think of anything that would pre date say 1985.
Hunter Plastics were another innovator in this area. The following link seems to confirm the development of underground soil systems to about 1971 though in common with much slowness in the building trades, I don't think they were widely used until the 1980s.
1930s is way out.

1937 is a key date for below ground drainage systems, as regards ownership or more importantly responsibility for repairs. i think before 1937 its the owners problem and after the water suppliers problem (could be vice versa).
1930 sounds rediculous for plastic pipework but i suspect the sly ****** has another motive so be on your guard
