help needed please.
recently my wife left me she has been having an affair, she said it has only been going on for 2 months but i know it has been going on for longer, now she has moved out of our home 8 months ago and stayed at a friends house myself and my 12 year old daughter stayed at our home and my wife came to see her every day and she said to me that she needed her own space for the time being.
anyway 6 weeks ago i confronted her about the affair and she confessed, she has now moved into a rented house and told me she cannot afford to pay our mortgage with me on our home,so i want to know where i stand legally if i pay the mortgage by myself will my wife be able to claim half when our daughter leaves full time school or will i have to get her name taken off the deeds. thanks in advance

To get her name off the deeds she would have to consent and just as importantly, the mortgage company would have to agree too. They will need to be sure you can afford the mortgage on your own.

Your wife is joint owner with you, and depending on the way the house is owned she is entitled to half of the equity.
