Opposite our house we have a small strip of land on the side of the road that doesn't get maintained by anyone and in the hedge I have noticed some wild rose hips. I would like to harvest these to grow more roses along the hedge with the other one. I have never done this before so some advice would be welcome.

I love my garden but only have 3 roses as they need a lot of tlc so suggest you wait for a more positive answer from a rose grower / expert . Good luck .

I have several wild roses in the garden- however none were planned!- likely the birds fault! You have to be seriously vicious with them- the rate of growth is amazing!

Many thanks, I will wait for them to ripen before picking them.
