Someone near to me has a dog that they let loose and for some reason it regularly does 'its business' on a small chippings area outside my garage. Not nice.
I know that in the USA there is a liguid dog repellent called 'LIQUID FENCE' that whilst harmless is not something dogs like.
My searches on the internet so far only ever end up with this product apparently available outside the UK.
I know that there are all sorts of acoustic things available but what I need is something that I can spray on the besieged area.
Any ides on where in the UK I can purchase LIQUID FENCE or a similar product

I, obviously, living as I do in the U.S., can't help you with sources in the U.K. for this product, but I would simply add that it is very effective. It also comes in versions that are designed to keep rabbits, squirrels, and deer away from gardens and they work equally as well. It does have to be sprayed on after each rain, but it doesn't smell bad except if you are very close to it and it can be sprayed on bushes, flowers and vegetables (although they suggest not harvesting vegetables for at least two or three days after an application). Don't get any on your shoes and then walk in a warm house!
In fact, it must contain a small amount of some oil since it gives the leaves of my rose bushes a nice sheen... Best of luck!

Thank you for that Clanad, it certainly seems to be exactly what I need. I will just wait and see if there is an equivalent product in the UK.
Hey parkesquay, would an easier solution not be to tell your neighbour to keep their dog off your property, and that if it continues to foul your chippings, you will complain to env. health or similar. It is really unfair and ignorant of them-you shouldn't have to fork out for a product to put the dog off, when it shouldn't be there anyway!
I wouldn't dream of allowing my dog to go wandering and do his biz all over other people's property!

Unfortunately I haven't a clue who the owner of the dog is because I have not yet been able to catch it in the act.
If I knew I would certainly have taken some measures against the owner.
It just isn't nice to clean up dog muck only to have the same thing appear again a few days later.
There is a product you can buy in the UK, called Renardine. I've used it & it's quite effective, but it does stink! (it smells like an old ashtray). You can get it from agricultural merchants or maybe pet shops or garden centres.

Thank you for that Kleiber but a few days ago I bought a product called( appropriately)"GET OFF".
These are crystals to put in the areas where they are needed.
Not sure if they are as good as the Liquid Fence though.
Time will tell.
Good luck! I expect "Get Off" smells better than Renardine!
