I'm thinking of having an electric shower fitted. Roughly how much should I expect to pay an elctrician to install it? Also, as I live in a hard water area, would I have to buy a water softener? As much information would be greatly appreciated, as I haven't a clue about how it's all done. Cheers!

There is an interesting site about this here, as for price get several quotes. Hard water will soon clog an electric shower element and of course the shower head http://www.diynot.com/pages/pl/pl058.php#a3
