May it have been out of water for too long and got an air bubble? I'd cut some off the bottom and put it back in water. I believe dipping in hot water will force any air bubbles out, but you might want to google that cos I dont want you to kill it off. I've had my three single stalks for a few years and never do antyhing to them but give fresh water when I remember and thats can be weeks on end!
