Help needed with Shade...here comes the summer sun!

Please can anyone help with this.

Does anyone know of any potted trees or bushes or plants that can be used to shade the sun from a window.

Height would probably have to be a lot too...probably 4 - 6 feet.

Not really questioning your judgement, but have you considered a blackout blind from IKEA to do the job cheaply on the inside? Less than 20 quid and you don't have to look after it once in!

I like to use bamboo for light shading and whispering noise, but keep it in a pot or it can run rampant quite quickly with some varietals.
