Need to buy new washing machine.
We only have a cold water supply where it is going.
Just starting my research on it, so any advise or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
TIA

Through experience I never buy cars or washing machines made in Britain. This is because the labour charges for repair are very exhorbitant and British products are very unreliable.

Bosch or Miele .We have a Bosch .Best washing machine we have ever had . Has not gone wrong in the seven years since we purchased it unlike the wretched Hotpoint I had previously which was always breaking down.. My M-I-L has a Miele ...12 years old and still going strong...bit like the grand lady herself but she's 88 !! The previous one she had was also a Miele ..I think she had that one for a good twenty years ! They are more expensive but you do get what you pay for .
Agree with RoaldoM.

I have a Bosch washing machine & dishwasher. Both give excellent service. Hard to beat German engineering.

Incidentally, we have purchased only VW cars since 1970.
I'd agree that Miele and bosch are excellent, but I have an indesit and it's had no problems in the 8 years i've ahd it. It's even moved, which most machines don't like.
I've had 3 Indesits - the first lasted 12 years, the second 10 years and the third one a mere 18 months! In my opinion they are now rubbish. We now have a Bosch which is excellent.
I've got a Miele and can't recommend it highly enough. I got a free 10 years parts and labour warranty with it and they guarantee to carry the parts for 20 years. They reckon it should last 25 years though.
As a family we have ' murdered ' a few machines in our time now would only replace current Miele with another. Best before that was a Bosch that lasted five years, we had another before that had to be fixed sooooooo much I dumped it before the years mauf. warrantee was up.
