Stupid of me to cook a roast wearing my lovely new light tan nubuck leather shoes! They're now ruined by a centimetre size blob of cooking oil. I've tried kitchen paper, washing up liquid, biological washing powder and talcum powder (not all at once!). The blob hasn't shifted but some colour has! Anyone got any bright suggestions, please.

Oil comes out of clothes if you place some brown paper over the stain and touch the stain through the paper with a warm iron but I guess it is too late now you have tried all those other remedies. You could rub oil all over the shoes then at least they would be all the same colour?
